Thank you for choosing Whitfield County Transit Service for your non-emergency transportation needs. We are proud to serve you and strive to provide you with safe, clean, pleasant, reliable, and efficient service. Our transit buses are provided to take you on errands, to doctor’s appointments, to the library, to the Senior Center, to visit family or friends, etc. within the county during our operating hours.

Fares


The cost to ride for general public is $4.00 for each one-way trip. Passengers will only be permitted to board the bus by paying the fare before taking their seat. To avoid confusion, please pay each time you board the bus. Please have the exact amount ready at boarding. Drivers do not carry change. Checks made out to Whitfield County Transit Service will be accepted. There is a $20.00 return check fee. Coupon books can be purchased for advance payment of trips. One coupon book holds ten one-way coupons and can be purchased for $30.00. Coupon books are available through the bus drivers or at 301 W. Crawford St., Dalton.

Hours of Operation

Monday – Friday
6:30 am until 6:00 pm with the last call back pick up at 4:30 pm.

Per DOT's ADA Regulations, all passengers must have their mobility device secured while aboard Whitfield County Transit vehicles. All passengers must wear their seatbelts and stay seated while the bus is in motion.
